Each Tuesday for 5 weeks (28th Feb, 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th Mar) Arrive for 6:45. The class is from 7pm to 8pm, with a half-hour practice time afterwards.
Blues dancing comes from the same tradition as blues music. It is an improvised dance, which has a relaxed, grounded feel. Here's an example, but there are so many styles of blues: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAFb0m1vk_k
No previous dance experience needed. No partner needed.
I'll keep the small (max ten people), so I can give lots of individual attention to students. The venue is a short walk from central Hexham, with space for parking.
Social dancing is fun, sociable, creative.
Melissa Davy has years of experience of teaching dance, and are really excited to be teaching this class.
The class is a good option for complete beginners, or for people who want to refresh the basics.
You need to book in advance. £40 (£30 for students).
(If cost is preventing you from attending, please get in touch with Melissa, and we can see if we can sort something out)
